The founder, Joseph S. Kong, PhD (UCLA), is a Silicon Valley data scientist. His research has been published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), including a cover article on web mining, and in the Journal of Machine Learning Research (JMLR).

Recently, he became fascinated by the hidden connections between Spanish and English vocabulary. While exploring these connections, he discovered that a surprisingly large share of high-frequency Spanish words, around 80%, can be recognized through their relationships to English.

That observation led to the development of a systematic approach for decoding Spanish words with less obvious connections to English called the STRONG System.
